Skiing in British Columbia

Even though Vancouver has a mild climate and snow seldom falls in the city, our students enjoy some of the best downhill and cross country ski facilities in North America. Step out your back door and gaze at the twinkling lights of Grouse Mountain, Cypress Bowl and Mount Seymour. Ski hills are so close you can almost reach out and touch them!

The schedule for Ski/Snowboard Program is subject to change due to the volume of students attending and weather conditions. Please check with the Canadian International Sports Academy to confirm the schedule closer to the time.

Ski / Snowboard Tours Near Vancouver

VEC frequently arranges ski outings at the local mountains. You can even go after school to hit the slopes for a few hours of night skiing. The view of the city is spectacular!

Ski Whistler Blackcomb

You absolutely must try Whistler Blackcomb, too. Rated the #1 destination ski resort in North America, it attracts skiers from all over the world. You can downhill ski or even use your leg power to climb up the mountains and ski back down.

Ski Hemlock Mountain

Nestled high in the mountains at 3300' (1000m) above Harrison Hotsprings, Hemlock Valley is truly one of the best kept secrets in the British Columbian lower mainland. Hemlock Valley consistently has one of the best snow falls in South Western British Columbia.

Ski the Canadian Rocky Mountains

VEC groups often go on 4-day trips to Banff National Park, in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The snow is always great in Banff and the scenery is incredible.
