Benefit Concert for Japan

On Friday, March 25th, VEC held a benefit concert for Japan in the campus dining hall. It was a great success. Many of our talented students and staff performed to a packed house. Others brought yummy treats, like brownies, cookies and cupcakes for our bake sale. Teachers performed at Japan Benefit Concert
Due to the generosity of our students and staff, we were able to collect $1665 in donations for the Red Cross ?Japan Earthquake/Asia-Pacific Tsunami? relief fund. This amount was matched by Vancouver English Centre, so our total donation was $3330.
Thank you everyone, for your contribution to this important cause. Most importantly, we would like to thank Shunichi Katsumata, who originally inspired the event.
