Business Venture Program
The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and Vancouver English Centre (VEC) have partnered to deliver an exciting program, specifically for ESL students who want to learn core business planning skills and risk reduction techniques.
The program has two terms:
Term One: the 4-week Business English Program at VEC
Term Two: the 12-week Venture Program at BCIT
The Venture Program (a BCIT business planning program) takes you through the steps to produce a business plan in preparation of your business launch. This joint program develops techniques that will greatly increase your likelihood of success to achieve maximum personal effectiveness.
You will improve your English and learn how to: develop a marketing plan, tighten your strategic plan, prepare a financial plan, reduce risk, build your resource base and develop global contacts. Ultimately, you will leave with a fully operational document; your business plan.
