Learn how to plan and deliver speeches and presentations.
Course OutlineWeek One: Establishing Group Dynamics, Discussing Effective Public Speaking Techniques, Impromptu Presentations, Video: Conquer Your Fear, Group Presentation Brainstorming and Research, Hotel Project.
Week Two: Group Presentation of Hotel Project, Presentation Skills Lesson at BC Supreme Court, Short Presentations, Presentation Skills, Business Presentation Research.
Week Three: Use of Handouts, OHP, and Other Visuals, 20-minute Country Presentations, Techniques of Public Speaking Video, Review, Planning of Major Presentation.
Week Four:Presentations, Evaluation of Major Presentations.
Course MaterialsThe teacher provides Public Speaking textbooks and videos.
Study Hours15 hours per week
PrerequisitesVEC Level 10+ (Upper Intermediate).
TeachersAll VEC Teachers are university graduates with formal specialized TEFL / TESL training and experience teaching English.
