Vancouver Language Co-op Program
Practicum in Canada
The Vancouver Language Co-op Program includes equal amounts of classroom preparation and work experience. By studying and working in Canada, you will develop the language skills you need to function effectively in any English-speaking work environment.
Preparation for the Practicum
During the first half of the program, language skills are developed through stimulating, communicative activities. The various courses offered in the Vancouver Language Co-op Program are suitable for a broad range of advanced students. Each course is 4 weeks in length.
The second half of the program is the practicum. You will practice the skills you have learned by working for a Canadian company. VEC offers two options for Vancouver Language Co-op students: Self Placement and School Placement. Self Placement students will find an practicum on their own, the school will help them prepare resumes, cover letters, find information about available positions and give general orientation. School Placement students will be placed by the Co-op practicum Coordinator (School) and must meet all programs requirements.
