Internship Program Visa Requirements

Employer & Intern

Before beginning our internship program, you should obtain a study permit (student visa) and a work permit (work visa).

You can start the process by applying for an internship program at VEC. We will then send you a letter of acceptance. You should provide this letter of acceptance when you apply for a study permit and work permit at the appropriate Canadian embassy or consulate. If your application is approved, you will receive a study permit and a work permit.

If you want a paid practicum, you should also apply for a social insurance number after you come to Canada. If you ask at the school, we will tell you how to apply. There s no charge for this. The application process usually takes approximately three weeks.
