IELTS Test Dates and Test Application Procedure
Simon Fraser University, western Canada's only IELTS test centre, administers the IELTS test each month at its downtown Harbour Centre campus at 515 Hastings Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. IELTS Test Dates2010 IELTS Test Dates in Burnaby, Surrey, Vancouver and VictoriaTest dates and locations are subject to change. If there is more than one location listed for your test date, please check your confirmation letter for the location of your test. Speaking interviews may be scheduled on either the test day OR the following day. When you check in on the morning of the test you will receive your interview date and time. Interview times cannot be guaranteed in advance, so please be prepared to have your interview on either day.
About IELTSIELTS, the International English Language Testing System, provides an assessment of whether candidates are ready to study or train in the medium of English. It is recognized widely as a language requirement for entry to all courses/programs in further and higher education. IELTS is jointly managed by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES), the British Council and IDP Education Australia: IELTS Australia.IELTS Test FeeThe fee for the IELTS Test is CAD$265.00 payable in the form of a money order or certified cheque to Simon Fraser University. Upon receipt of the IELTS Test fee, a receipt will be issued. Uncertified personal cheques are not accepted. US candidates ONLY may pay in US fees: $US 145.00, payable in the form of a money order or cashier's cheque to Simon Fraser University.If a candidate decides to postpone or cancel five weeks before the scheduled test date, a full refund, less a $50.00 administrative fee, will be issued. No refunds will be made if the candidate makes the request less than five weeks before the scheduled test date. We regret that we cannot make exceptions to the refund policy for candidates who register late. Refunds are paid by cheque and usually take 8 to 10 weeks from the date of your request to be processed and mailed. IELTS Test formatCandidates are tested in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking Modules. If you are planning to undertake academic study, it is recommended that you sit for the Academic Reading and Writing Modules. If you are planning to undertake non-academic training, it is recommended that you sit for the General Training Reading and Writing Modules.
