Minimum Language Prerequisites
Students applying for admission to the Banff Internship Program and wish to have a practicum assignment in Banff or Canmore must be at a predetermined VEC level before joining the program. This is partly to ensure that you will be able to understand the course content. Also, you will be able to obtain a more interesting practicum if you are able to communicate at a satisfactory level. Students must reach VEC Level 10 so they can take Job Skills in the morning and Hospitality & Tourism in the afternoon, during their last session before the practicum. This elective courses are mandatory and must be successfully completed before the internship starts.
