Frequently Asked QuestionsHow will this program help me? Why are wages lower for housekeeping staff? How do I apply for admission to this program? Can I continue to work after my program ends? People who are entitled to work in Canada after their programs end, however, can continue to work, if work is available. For example, some people obtain work permits through the SWAP Working Holiday Program. Of course, citizens and permanent residents of Canada can also work legally. Where is Banff? Banff is toward the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains, 359 miles (578 km) east of Vancouver. The closest major city is Calgary, which is 64 miles (104 km) to the east. Located on Canada's main highway, Banff is easily accessible by road. If I don't like my first practicum, can I reject it? No. We will place you in the best practicum that is available at the time. You must accept that practicum. May I choose what field I work in? No. We will try to place you in a practicum that is in some way relevant to your career interest. We cannot, however, guarantee any specific type of practicum assignment. The primary goal is to give you an opportunity to practice your English in a Canadian work environment. If the position is in your chosen field, that is a bonus. Internships in Banff & Canmore.
