Vancouver Language Centre offers a full range of language programs designed to improve skills as quickly as possible. Our curricula for both English and Spanish language programs emphasize speaking, listening and comprehension skills. At the same time, Grammar is taught in an interactive manner, with emphasis on using the structures of the language orally in real-life and practical situations.

Different Levels for Your Specific Abilities

Before your program begins, you will be evaluated for your abilities in the language you will study. Placement tests have both Grammatical and Conversational components. You are assigned classes according to the placement test results at a level that will best meet your needs and goals in acquiring a second language.

Professional Language Teachers

Our teachers all have formal education in teaching and are native speakers of the language they teach. They use a full range of resources and creative techniques to encourage participation in the classroom including role-plays, presentations, writing and pronunciation exercises, reading for comprehension and one-to-one conversation.

Classes are usually small, ensuring that you receive personalized attention from the instructor during the learning process. Our bilingual staff also encourages you to speak the language you are learning outside of the classroom as much as possible, to reinforce the learning experience.

Advanced teaching certificates-TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), TBE (Teaching Business English) and TEC (Teaching English to Children) are also available at Vancouver Language Centre.
