VEC Fundraising Concert by Walnut of Apple Girls

Thai students at VEC organized a fundraising concert for flood relief in Thailand

Thai students at Vancouver English Centre organized a fundraising concert on October 18, 2011 to donate to flood relief in Thailand. The concert was performed by Saithip Wiwattanapatapee, Walnut of Apple Girls Band, and Jittawat Wantanabode, a new graduate of the College of Music, Mahidol University?s (major in piano).

The event was very successful and was attended by hundreds of VEC students, teachers, staff who donated to help those being effected by this catastrophe. VEC matched every donation, dollar for dollar. On October 28, 2011, a VEC representative and Thai students presented a CAD$1725 cheque to his Excellency Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot , Consul General in Vancouver.
