Hello everybody!

I would like to share with all of you, my experience at VEC. When I thought about studying English abroad, I was just thinking about improving my English skills and also getting some experience in an English environment. However, I found VEC and came to see the facilities, to see how the classes looked and to see the whole school itself. Everything was so nice; therefore I decided to enroll in the16 weeks Business Internship Program. It was here the adventure begun for me.

The classes are one of the things that I remember the most. My teachers have lots of experience. They're more than just English Teachers, they're very educated persons. After all, you could learn many things from them using English just as excuse. They also showed to me the best practices to sell yourself; how to attend interviews, how to create your resume, how to make research and presentations about interesting business topics- in general all the tools that you'll need in the English business world.

I am a Computer System Engineer, so, I needed to be involved with IT Company in order to use my background and develop skills in this specific area. Well, my BINT Coordinator couldn't be more accurate. I did my internship in one of best High Tech companies in British Columbia (Mobile Data Solution Inc). Thanks to interview skills that I learned, at MDSI I had a chance to be involved in a high quality standard environment, to work with IT professionals from all over the world, to get along with the latest software development technology and especially to learn about the people, the culture, their believes, their thoughts, etc.

In addition, I would say here I met lots of great people from many countries such as Russia, Germany, China, Japan, Korea, Switzerland and Poland among others. I hope to visit them very soon. I feel very glad to have met them, because it couldn't have been possible without this program from VEC.

In conclusion, I strongly believe learning another language is not just to become a better professional or to achieve your goals as an international worker. It is not just about the money that you will be able to earn once you have international experience. The most important thing is that you will be a better person. You will be able to integrate a new culture and learn new things every single day, things that in the past you just wouldn't have been able to do.

I do believe the BINT Program really works! I took it and now I'm happy to be working here in city of Vancouver in the great province British Columbia, due to everything that I have learned at Vancouver English Centre.
