Student Comments - Cristian Sangines
In VEC I had the opportunity not only to improve my English skills, but to know about the Canadian people and the interesting culture, beautiful places and industries of this country.
The theory part of the Business Internship Program (BINT) permitted me to reinforce much of my business skills, such as being prepared for interviews, correspondence, meetings, telephone conversations, networking and updated knowledge about how the Canadian people are doing businesses. Apart from that, I found it very enriching to have had the opportunity of sharing with people from different countries.
The practicum part of the BINT or the internship was very challenging due to the fact that I had to put in practice all my knowledge using the English as a tool in order to work in the company in which I had the opportunity to work. This experience was very exciting and I could learn how the legal system of Canada is, as well as technical vocabulary and legal terms.
I am sure that all this experience in VEC will be useful for my professional development and I am really grateful for that. I widely recommend taking the BINT.
Sincerely,
