When I came to Vancouver I didn’t know a single word in English. Now I can say that I’m fluent in English and I want to thank my teachers from VEC because without them I couldn’t have made it. At the beginning it was frustrating but once you start feeling confident you realize how important it is to speak English.

VEC is more than a second language school. The school staff takes care of us and helps us to make the right decisions. I decided to take a four month Business Internship Program and I’m very, very happy with the position that Wendy found for me.

I’m working at the Renaissance Vancouver Hotel Harbourside helping the Sales Department. I feel very lucky because I’m learning a lot about hospitality and tourism. At the hotel everyone makes me feel like a member of the team with the same responsibilities. I wake up every morning willing to learn new things.

I strongly recommend this experience to everyone who wants to be successful not only in their jobs but in their lives.
