CU / VEC Pathway Program

Ensure your success by preparing for university at VEC. With the CU / VEC Pathway Program, you will be ready when you begin your first day of university.

City University’s incoming undergraduate students must demonstrate a college-level proficiency in English that is equivalent to City University’s ESL Level 6. Vancouver English Centre’s
Advanced Writing is recognized as being equivalent to this level.

After completing VEC's Advanced Writing, you will be ready to begin the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Master of Business Administration Program, or Master of Science in Project Management at City University. We will assist with applications and issuing joint program Letters of Acceptance for visa applications.

Master of Business Administration

City University’s innovative MBA program will provide you with knowledge and skills you can apply immediately in today’s competitive workplace. The program was designed after surveying employers to determine what they look for when hiring and promoting MBAs to management positions.

The focus of the program is to help students become recognized as leaders at all levels of an organization. Students will have the opportunity to develop the orientation, skills, and confidence to think strategically, take the initiative, and achieve desired results by motivating others. The program utilizes a mixture of new and traditional teaching methods, including self-assessment, simulation, and work with real organizations. Students learn from academically qualified instructors with extensive, practical experience in the subjects they teach.

Master of Science in Project Management

Project managers are found in every industry and field around the world. Farmers, health care workers, software developers, manufacturers, academics and consultants are a few of the diverse spectrum where project management skills are used. City University, a Global Registered Education Provider ® by PMI ®, offers a Master of Science in Project Management. All of the Project Management (PM) courses qualify for PMI ’s Professional Development educational/training Units (PDU ®), which make up a crucial qualification part of PMI ’s coveted Project Management Professional (PMP ®) certification. This is a 45-credit program designed to facilitate learning and application of skills that are critical to successful project management. The program emphasizes a systematic approach to project development. The instructors are practicing project managers with advanced degrees. Your mastery of these lessons will prepare you to successfully lead projects in your chosen career.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Emphasis on General Management

The BS in Business Administration program surveys the contemporary business disciplines of accounting, finance, marketing, economics, law and international relations. Students strengthen skills in communication and decision-making and learn about the central importance of behavioral factors in business. Upon completing a set of core foundation courses, you will work on an emphasis area in general management.

The General Management emphasis is designed for students wishing to pursue a variety of management positions within organizations. This emphasis expands a student’s core knowledge of today’s business environment to include issues such as E-Commerce, the impact of the global business environment, and project planning.

Students who have completed an undergraduate program at another institution before applying for admission to the BS in Business Administration are not required to complete the first two years of this program.
