Arriving at Vancouver International Airport

This information will help you clear Canada Customs and find your Vancouver English Centre Representative.Vancouver English Centre uses a service called Beaton's to pick up students at the Vancouver International Airport.

Please see the Airport Procedures below:


1. INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS

If your flight is coming from another country, you will come through the International Terminal. Follow the Canada Arrivals signs to Canada Customs and Immigration. you will see many people and many signs. We will be in front of 2 large wooden statues in the Main Public International Arrivals Area. Make sure you are looking in the right area. Starbucks Coffee and Burger King are behind The Elephant and Castle. Do not go upstairs or out of the building.

Baggage may be claimed immediately after passport inspection. To see which carousel has your baggage, check the baggage information display screens that are located on each carousel. Free baggage carts are located near each carousel.

After claiming your baggage, you will exit through two sets of glass doors and into the public.

Meet-and-Greet Area. Our representative will be standing behind a rope barrier, wearing a white shirt and possibly a red jacket, and holding a white sign with 2 red maple leaves and "Beaton’s" in red lettering on it. The sign will also include your name

2. DOMESTIC ARRIVALS

If your flight is coming from a city in Canada, you will come through the Domestic Terminal. Follow the Canada Arrivals signs to Domestic Arrivals Level 2 in the Domestic Terminal, where the baggage claim carousels are located.

To see which carousel has your luggage, check the baggage information display screens that are located on each carousel. Free baggage carts are located near the carousels.Our representative will be waiting for you in the baggage claim area, wearing a white shirt and possibly a red jacket, and holding a white sign with 2 red maple leaves and "Beaton’s" in red lettering on it. The sign will also include your name.

If you can not find our representative, do not leave the airport!
