BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM
Business Administrative officers oversee and set up administrative procedures, set work priorities and manage the supply of administrative services, such as office space, supplies and security services. They may also handle some cash and direct the work of clerical staff. They are employed throughout the private and public sectors.
School Partner
These professionals represent a growing proportion of the total clerical and administrative positions, and this occurs as computers continue to reduce the need for clerical staff to perform more routine tasks. With the growth in new technologies, administrative officers are able to perform and manage a wider range of tasks, so there is more justification for hiring these workers. The role of administrative officer can vary tremendously from office to office. Typical duties would include handling work assignments for staff and setting up and maintaining administrative procedures. They oversee and coordinate office procedures and routines, and put new methods in place when necessary. Career Opportunities
