Recognition
VEC is certified by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
You must have an official Letter of Acceptance from a Certified Institution to obtain a Study Permit
(student visa).
Certification by Human Resources Development Canada also allows some students to deduct VEC tuition and application fees from their income, for tax purposes.
Canadian students who have attained the age of 16 years and who enroll at
VEC to acquire or improve skills necessary for a
specific occupation may qualify for a tuition tax credit. Expenses for homestay
and leisure activities are not tax deductible.
